The Texas Supreme Court ruled that Democratic leaders who left during the Texas special legislative session can be arrested. LPHS appellate and constitutional law attorney David Coale explains the ruling to KLIF News & Information in the Morning.

“The state’s argument is pretty simple. The state constitution says we have a legislature. The state constitution says the legislature can set rules for how it conducts business, and it can make members show up if they are not there.”
