Rats: LPHS Secures Appellate Win in Infestation Case

A panel of the Dallas Court of Appeals has overturned a jury verdict that awarded $1.9 million in a lawsuit accusing the firm’s client, a Collin County landlord, of failing to mitigate a rat infestation. LPHS partner David Coale and associate Campbell Sode handled the appeal, arguing there was no evidence offered by the plaintiff to support the damages award and the related fees for experts and attorneys. The Texas Lawbook has more details about the panel’s decision.
