Childers to Become Bar Association President

LPHS partner Jonathan Childers is assuming responsibilities as the new president of the Dallas Bar Association on February 7, with a commitment to continue serving and supporting the Dallas legal profession and fostering strong relationships among judges, lawyers, and the community. Jonathan has served on the Dallas Bar Association board of directors for many years and has held several leadership roles. He is also a past president of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers.

His plans for the new role are drawing coverage from news media, with profiles in Law360Texas Lawyer and the DBA’s Headnotes publication.

"Lawyers have a high responsibility through their actions to show that our form of democracy works and that the public can trust courts,” he stated in the Texas Lawyer article, noting that the association's most important issue is promoting the rule of law. The DBA will also be active in promoting the area’s strengths during the 2026 World Cup, and offering a legal education series on the role of artificial intelligence in the profession.
