In advance of the U.S. Supreme Court hearing a case from North Carolina on congressional redistricting authority, the firm’s David Coale joined Fox 4’s “Good Day” broadcast to discuss the implications of the Court’s future ruling on whether a state’s legislature can draw electoral districts without state judicial oversight. David noted the court’s opinion could dramatically change the way elections are governed in America.

“If the Legislature is right in North Carolina and they can draw the map and other people can’t question that, then that principle becomes very powerful and applies to every state legislature and every election they oversee,” said David.
