Trade Secrets Lawsuit Against Boeing Filed

Lynn Pinker Cox & Hurst recently filed a lawsuit in Chicago federal court against The Boeing Company and its subsidiary Boeing Capital Corp. that alleges the aircraft manufacturing company stole trade secrets from Xavian Insurance Company that had proposed creating a private alternative to the Export-Import Bank, the U.S. government's official credit agency. LPCH also filed a separate but similar lawsuit against Marsh & McLennan in New York.

Lynn Pinker Cox & Hurst partner, Chris Akin, is leading the lawsuit for Xavian.

Akin comments, “Until we obtain discovery from the defendants, I cannot provide any additional information beyond what we allege in our lawsuit,” he said. “I can say that Xavian’s co-founder, Thatcher Stone, believes that the damages against both Boeing and Marsh will be extremely large numbers, which would be doubled in the event of a finding of willful and malicious misappropriation.”

Xavian is also represented by LPCH partners Kent Krabill and John Volney, and associate Michael Kalis.
