Two LPHS Verdicts Ranked in State’s 40 Largest for 2025

TopVerdict.com, a service that annually ranks the highest jury verdicts, settlements, or bench awards in each state has placed two LPHS verdicts among the top 40 in Texas for 2025. 

Coming in at No. 30 is the $16.3 million verdict to Spartan Composites against Signature Systems Group for misappropriating trade secrets related to construction mat technology. The award by an Eastern District of Texas jury included $8 million in punitive damages. The LPHS trial team included Chris SchwegmannJessie Cox, and Kristopher Ruiz

At No. 37 is the $9.4 million verdict awarded by a Dallas County jury to Skyward Transportation, a trucking business that claimed it was forced aside when a private equity firm acquired its principal client, the El Rancho Supermercado grocery chain. The jury found the new ownership breached multiple contractual agreements in moving transport assignments to competing companies. Skyward was represented at trial by Michael K. Hurst, Jared EisenbergJamie Drillette, and Andy Kim.
