Jessie Cox
Jessie Cox joined LPHS as an Associate in 2023. Jessie represents clients in a wide variety of general business and complex commercial disputes, including oil and gas, business ownership and fiduciary disputes, non-competes, trademark infringement, DTPA, and breach of contract cases in state and federal courts across Texas. Jessie graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science from Baylor University and went on to receive her J.D. from Baylor Law in 2021, graduating cum laude with a Special Distinction in Litigation.
Jessie is a formidable trial lawyer and advocate with an over 10-year background in speech and debate. While at Baylor Law, Jessie competed in—and won—a National Moot Court championship, a Texas regional moot court competition, and a Texas regional mock trial competition, and placed in the very top at two of the nation’s most competitive National Mock Trial competitions. Jessie also competed head-on against her law school classmates in the prestigious ‘Mad Dog’ Mock Trial Competition, earning the recognition as the top student in trial skill persuasion and the “Mad Dog” of her graduating class.
Prior to joining LPHS, Jessie clerked for The Honorable Amos L. Mazzant, District Judge for the Eastern District of Texas, and interned for The Honorable Christine Nowak, Former Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Texas. Jessie also previously practiced law as a litigation associate at Hedrick Kring Bailey PLLC in Dallas.
Jessie is currently an Adjunct Professor at Baylor Law School where she serves as a coach for Baylor Law’s mock trial students. Outside of the office, Jessie and her husband, Blake, enjoy avidly cheering on the Dallas Stars, collecting vinyls, and hanging out with their two pups, Lucy and Bella.
