LPHS Team Scores Win at Fifth Circuit Moot Court Competition

The Lynn Pinker team of Jessica Cox and Kristopher Ruiz emerged as one of three champions in the inaugural Young Lawyers Moot Court Competition sponsored by the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit. The half-day event was held at the John Minor Wisdom Courthouse in New Orleans, with 18 teams of young lawyers participating from Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi before separate judging panels. The event was created to showcase the oral advocacy skills of young attorneys through a realistic, hypothetical appeal to the Fifth Circuit before panels of federal judges from across the region. Congratulations also to Kris who was named “Best Advocate” in his division.
