Jun 18, 2026

In a major appellate win for LPHS, the Texas Supreme Court ruled that the City of Hutto and related entities must repay $17 million borrowed from the firm’s client and used to fund public works projects. The city had attempted to invalidate the municipal-finance transaction, which it claimed was not properly submitted to the Texas Attorney General for approval and violated the Public Improvement District Act. As a result of the Court’s ruling, Hutto is required to satisfy the loan issued from the lender, Preston Hollow Community Capital.  The firm’s Eric PinkerDavid CoaleJared EisenbergHayden Hanson, and Campbell Sode represented Preston Hollow in the long-running litigation.
