President Trump recently released an updated list of his potential nominees for the U.S. Supreme Court. LPHS appellate attorney David Coale talked to KLIF Morning News about the significance of this list and Ted Cruz as one of those potential nominees. “He was an outstanding lawyer in the Solicitor General’s Office in Texas. He argued in front of the Supreme Court many times, and his writing was good, his arguments were good. He knew what he was doing. And so he would not be out of place on the Supreme Court, and it actually would be a very interesting addition to have someone come in from a background in the Senate, for a court that really doesn’t have anyone with that kind of service in the legislative branch.”
