Salon Commentary: Fifth Circuit Blurs Church-State Separation

In a bylined article for the online news website Salon, David Coale examines four recent opinions from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit that “mixed together” religion and government by citing the Bible.

“Review of those citations provides a good reminder that Jesus and (James) Madison had a point. The Federal Reporter should stay on a separate bookshelf from books of theology,” he writes.
