A small group of Texas Republicans has filed a lawsuit against Texas Gov. Greg Abbott over his six-day extension of early voting for the November election, challenging the governor’s emergency powers. "As a challenge to emergency power generally, good luck," said David Coale of Lynn Pinker Hurst & Schwegmann. "Governors just have to have that kind of power."
