J.L. Turner Legal Association Examines the Role of Juneteenth in Uniting Communities

With questions swirling around the role and importance of diversity initiatives in the workplace, LPHS is proud to support the work of associate Gloria Cangé, a director of the J.L. Turner Legal Association. Together with board members Chelsey Watts and Sharonda Roberson, Gloria was instrumental in planning the group’s inaugural Juneteenth Celebration, held at the African American Museum of Dallas. JLTLA invited the Dallas Chapter of the National Black MBA Association, the C.V. Roman Medical Society, as well as Dallas artists and gallery owners to attend, and the result was an enthusiastic and diverse sold-out crowd. An affiliate of the Dallas Bar Association, the mission of the J.L. Turner Legal Association is to improve the quality of life in the greater Dallas community through education, service and scholarship.
