January 6 is the next date in the presidential election process where Congress comes together to certify the votes in the election. LPHS appellate partner and constitutional law expert David Coale talks to KLIF Radio about Texas Senator Ted Cruz and other Republicans who plan to object to the electoral votes.

“If both houses of Congress agree on the objection, possibly you don’t count that states votes. Now it’s a dead letter here because the House, there is no way they are going to go against these objections, but you have a right to make objections and Senator Cruz appears to desire to make some on the record.”
