David Coale on Passing of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg

LPHS partner and lead of the firm’s appellate practice, David Coale pays tribute to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in The Texas Lawbook, Texas Lawyer, and answers questions on KLIF and WBAP morning radio news programs about the impact of her death to the court.

“Her death is the loss of an intellectual force on the Court and a role model for the entire country,” said Mr. Coale. “On the liberal wing of the court, she was both a strong writer and a smart strategist. A Republican appointment to replace her would likely mean a solid conservative majority, with Chief Justice Roberts no longer serving as a swing vote.”
