The Texas Legislature is scheduled to convene January 12 for the 87^th session. In a recent Law360 article, “Texas Legislation to Watch in 2021,” LPHS partner David Coale weighed in on a proposal to realign Texas appellate courts, which he says makes sense. “Having one trial-court jurisdiction within two, overlapping appellate jurisdictions creates a potential for conflicts and is just generally confusing even without direct conflicts," he said.
