David Coale Contributes New Commentary to Texas Lawbook:

In his latest commentary for The Texas Lawbook, LPHS attorney David Coale reviews Rule 32.3, a new certification requirement for the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in legal filings that is currently being considered by the Fifth Circuit. Mr. Coale argues the proposed rule duplicates existing regulations and has the potential to lead to unnecessary legal disputes.

Mr. Coale writes, “While the proposed rule is thoughtful and well-intentioned, it is largely redundant of existing rules and may invite satellite litigation that interferes with legitimate use of AI to provide quality client service.”
