LPCH partner David Coale and associate Paulette Miniter, on behalf leading scholars of administrative and constitutional law, recently filed an amicus brief in the landmark case of Brackeen v. Zinke. The amicus brief, filed in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, defends the constitutionality of the Indian Child Welfare Act against a challenge by multiple states. The federal government and multiple Native American tribes are also parties to the suit.
