The firm’s David Coale has assumed the responsibilities of President-Elect for the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit (BAFFC). The membership of the association includes thousands of attorneys committed “to improve and facilitate the administration of justice in the federal courts within the Fifth Circuit.” The New Orleans-based federal court holds appellate jurisdiction over U.S. district courts in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. David’s two-year term as president of the BAFFC will begin in 2025. David is also the co-author of a recently published article in the Baylor Law Review that examines and clarifies some of the basic terminology used in Texas trial and appellate courts.
