Shirley Xu

Shirley Xu joined LPHS in 2022. While in China, Shirley worked as a law clerk for an Asia’s top tier international law firm.

Shirley received her Bachelor of Law from Wuhan University in June 2018, where she received First Class University Scholarship and won 2018 International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition as Overall Winner in regional round of mainland China. While in undergrad, Shirley also spent time as an exchange student at the National Taiwan University in Taipei. Shirley went on to graduate with her J.D. from the Emory University School of Law in 2022. While in law school, she participated in a variety of student groups, including the Moot Court Society, the Clarence Cooper American Inn of Court, and the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. While at Moot Court Society, Shirley’s team won third place overall in international round of 2022 International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition out of 76 teams from 42 countries.

Outside of work, Shirley is musically-inclined. She is a talented singer, going so far as to finish 9th place in a singing competition in Wuhan, China in 2016. She also has a deep appreciation for traditional Chinese apparel. Shirley is a lover of language, and is multilingual. She speaks native Mandarin, native Hokkien (Taiwanese), conversational Cantonese and is learning Japanese.
