Joshua D. Lang
At Lynn Pinker Hurst & Schwegmann, Josh has developed a reputation as a creative and effective courtroom advocate. Josh’s practice centers on advising and representing businesses and individuals in state and federal courts and arbitrations across the country in a variety of legal disputes, including oil & gas, commercial, intellectual property, environmental, and consumer matters. Josh also maintains an active practice of representing businesses in constitutional matters, including commercial speech disputes.
Before joining the firm, Josh served as a law clerk for Senior United States District Judge Henry Coke Morgan, Jr. in the Eastern District of Virginia. Serving as a law clerk in the original rocket docket court, Josh gained valuable experience in thoroughly and efficiently analyzing multiple issues in complex commercial cases. Josh was responsible for preparing recommendations for resolving motions, hearings, and trials in cases concerning patent and other intellectual property claims, deprivation of constitutional rights, maritime issues, and employment disputes.
Josh graduated magna cum laude from William & Mary Law School. There, he competed on the National Trial Team, earned multiple recognitions for his trial advocacy skills, and was admitted to the Order of the Barristers. During law school, Josh also served on the William & Mary Law Review.
When he’s not in the courtroom, Josh—an Eagle Scout and outdoor enthusiast—enjoys spending his free time camping and hiking.
