Patton Writes on Lessons in Beatles Breakup for ABA Publication

Building on a recent presentation for the State Bar of Texas, the firm’s Chris Patton has written an article on the lessons for lawyers in the contractual disputes that led to the breakup of the Beatles. Published in Litigation, a journal of the American Bar Association, “The Long & Winding Road—Lessons from Litigating the Beatles’ Partnership Dissolution” examines how problems with group’s restrictive partnership agreements and management contracts led to contentious litigation and the breakup. Chris writes that the article reminds litigators that “seemingly small strategic choices in litigation, such as a creative reframing of bad facts, can often mean the difference between victory and defeat.” Read the article here.
