Mike Lynn Named DBA’s Trial Lawyer of the Year

The Dallas Bar Association is recognizing decades of professional excellence and service to the legal profession in naming LPHS founding partner Mike Lynn as the group’s 2026 Trial Lawyer of the Year. In making the announcement of one of the organization’s highest honors, the DBA notes that “his dedication to his clients, commitment to mentoring others, and longstanding involvement in the legal community have made him a respected leader and a deserving recipient of this year’s honor.”
Mike has tried to verdict over 120 civil, arbitration and criminal jury trials, winning more than $1 billion in plaintiff verdicts and defeating more than $1 billion in claims in defense cases. During his career, Mike has received numerous honors and awards and has served as Co-Chair and Council Member on a number of committees of the ABA Litigation Section.
A frequent public speaker on legal topics, he has taught law classes at his alma mater, the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University, where he was recognized among the school’s Distinguished Alumni in 2019.
He will receive the Trial Lawyer of the Year award at the annual DBA Bench Bar Conference on September 24.
