LPHS Attorney Yaman Desai Examines Competing Legislation Covering College Sports in The Texas Lawbook

Two highly publicized legislative proposals are currently competing to bring uniformity and stability to the ever-changing landscape of collegiate sports. Both the SAFE Act and SCORE Act advocate for federal standards but differ significantly on control and oversight of those standards. In an article written for The Texas Lawbook, LPHS attorney Yaman Desai examines the two bills, their goals and divergent approaches, and the likelihood that either side prevails.
