LPCH partnered with Advocates for Community Transformation (ACT), a faith-based ministry that works with top-ranked law firms to ensure safety within the Dallas community by holding homeowners accountable for hazardous properties. Together with ACT, LPCH attorneys Andres Correa, Chris Patton, Jervonne Newsome, and Clint Cowen recently filed (and favorably resolved) a nuisance lawsuit for a property located on Robert L. Parish Sr. Blvd. in Dallas. LPCH sought and obtained the nuisance property owner’s assurance of maintenance and repair over several months.
“We are only agents for our clients and ACT. They are the ones fighting not only for their own families and homes but also for their surrounding neighbors and the entire Dallas community. It is especially fulfilling to play a role in that fight, and to put our courtroom skills to work.” said Andres Correa, Partner at LPCH.
LPCH’s lawsuit led the homeowner to sell the property to a commercial landlord. As a result, ACT is now actively renovating the property while the landlord is substantially renovating the interior and the exterior of the home.
