David Coale Explains Texas Statute on “In God We Trust” for School Districts

The Carroll Independent School District in North Texas recently rejected “In God We Trust” posters written in Arabic and rainbow colors, pointing to a Texas statute the district believes does not require acceptance of the alternative posters. LPHS constitutional and appellate attorney David Coale provides insight to CBS 11 News into what the law says and defines a gray area. "It's almost perfectly ambiguous. It just says, 'A.' It doesn't say, 'A maximum of one.' And that leaves room for argument like you saw last night.”
