Hours before he was officially named the Republican Party's presidential nominee, Donald Trump found out one of his criminal cases involving classified documents was dismissed, as Judge Aileen Cannon ruled that the government’s lead prosecutor was unlawfully appointed to try the case. The firm’s David Coale discussed the dismissal with Fox4 News.

“I didn’t see that one coming, but it was a very straightforward and logical argument that Trump’s counsel made and that was persuasive to this judge in Florida,” he says.

The Justice Department has indicated it will appeal the ruling.
