The firm’s Chris Schwegmann is representing California-based Patco Brands in litigation alleging the company has infringed the packaging design and logo of a rival company in the premixed cocktail market.  Texas-based BuzzBallz originally filed in Texas federal court, but the case was successfully transferred to district court in Northern California earlier this month. The transfer motion filed by LPHS notes that the family-operated Patco is organized as a business in Nevada, but maintains its principal place of business in Sausalito, California and does not own or lease any facilities in Texas. BuzzBallz has requested injunctive relief to recover Patco’s profits as well as actual damages, costs and fees to be determined at trial.
