LPHS partner Jonathan Childers, incoming president of the Dallas Bar Association, recently conducted an interview with Law360 on his goals for the year. Jonathan touched on an upcoming trial skills academy for young lawyers that will feature nine of the best trial lawyers in Dallas; ongoing advocacy to promote North Texas’s business strengths to the World Cup audience this summer; an inaugural DBA-sponsored civics camp for Dallas Independent School District middle schoolers; and a seminar series on the proper use of artificial intelligence in the legal profession.

The DBA will also sponsor ongoing programs to address mental and physical health for attorneys. “Lawyers have a view of client-first that makes it easy to put yourself absolutely last,” Jonathan says. “If I'm taking care of myself, I'm a better lawyer and provider of professional services and judgment to other people.”
