The Texas Supreme Court recently announced an influential ruling regarding the process attorneys must follow to prove they can reclaim fees in litigation and urged state lawmakers to do more to cut back prosecutorial misconduct. LPCH partner David Coale comments about the ruling to be important however, “it’s not news.”

The ruling specifically impacts how the business community can disclaim fraudulent inducements claims in relation to contracts between businesses. Coale comments on other news regarding punitive damages in the Bombardier Aerospace Corp. v. SPEP Aircraft Holdings LLC et al, in the Supreme Court of Texas.
