Melissa Lopez

Melissa Lopez joined Lynn Pinker Hurst & Schwegmann as a Staff Attorney in 2021 and has more than a decade of experience in eDiscovery.

Prior to joining the firm, Melissa was a Review Manager at Epiq, project managing complex matters including data privacy, intellectual property, and pharmaceutical disputes.

She also brings experience from Godwin Lewis, P.C., where she was a member of the Halliburton trial team handling the investigation, management, and oversight of discovery and pretrial work for the Deepwater Horizon incident in the Gulf of Mexico.

Melissa attended The University of Texas at Austin, receiving a B.A. in History. She went on to earn her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law, where she was the President of the Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity. She also participated in the Children’s Rights Clinic, representing abused and neglected children where the state sought custody or termination of parental rights.

Melissa is licensed to practice in Texas. She is a Relativity Certified User and holds the Brainspace Certified Analyst and Specialist certification.

Outside of the office, Melissa enjoys traveling to new places, cooking, and reading.
