Alec Monson

Alec Monson joined LPHS as an Associate in 2025 representing clients in a variety of practice areas including complex commercial litigation, real estate, employment, and probate matters. He adeptly navigates all stages of litigation, from settlement to trial and appeals.

Alec earned his B.A. from Westminster College, where he served as captain of the school’s NCAA Division II basketball team. In 2023 Alec graduated from J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, where he competed in the Rex E. Lee Moot Court Competition, was a semifinalist in the Linda J. Anderson Trial Advocacy Competition, and participated in his school’s Supreme Court Advocacy seminar, where he helped write briefs submitted to the United States Supreme Court and other courts of last resortHe also participated in the J. Reuben Clark Law Society Religious Liberty Fellowship, attending a conference in Washington, D.C., where he engaged with Supreme Court practitioners, public interest attorneys, policymakers, and legal scholars on key issues.

Before joining LPHS, Alec was an Associate at Larson LLP in Los Angeles, where he assisted in all stages of litigation, including settlement, mediation, trial, and appeals. He conducted legal research, drafted motions and memoranda, and developed strategic defenses for clients facing legal claims and regulatory scrutiny in civil and criminal contexts.

Alec has been selected to serve as a law clerk for the Honorable Mark Pittman, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Texas, during the 2027-2028 term.

Alec is fluent in Spanish and enjoys basketball, weightlifting, and reading. But above all, Alec loves making memories with his wife and two young children.
