During Women’s History Month, when many reflect on the women who broke barriers in the past, Lynn Pinker Hurst & Schwegmann partner Sara Chelette authored a commentary in Texas Lawyer focusing on how progress in the legal profession continues through everyday decisions, including speaking up, asking for opportunities, negotiating and stepping into leadership roles. 

The article, titled “Make the Ask to Get to Yes,” discusses how one of the biggest obstacles to professional growth can be failing to advocate for oneself, and encourages younger attorneys to actively seek opportunities and professional development.
