LPHS partners Mary Goodrich Nix and Julia A. Simon have been named to the list of the Lawdragon 500 Leading Corporate Employment Lawyers for 2026. Mary is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is frequently called on to offer counsel on protecting her clients’ confidential information and trade secrets when key employees move between competitors. Mary has worked successfully with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, the Texas Workforce Commission, and several other federal, state and local government agencies when a client is the subject of a complaint.

Julia is a seasoned legal and business strategist with more than 30 years of experience in employment law matters involving contract disputes, ERISA litigation, executive compensation, and other employment-related disputes. She has also been instrumental in advancing strategies to protect independent contractor relationships. She joined LPHS in 2024 after serving as the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary for Mary Kay Inc., a leading global consumer goods manufacturer and distributor.
