Michael Hurst on Moving the Needle on Gender Equity

Michael Hurst recently spoke on the "Moving the Needle on Gender Equity" panel hosted by the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession. The Men in the Mix Project aims to better understand the obstacles men face to becoming better allies for women lawyers. For example, why don't more men participate in women's affinity groups, engage in open conversation on how to promote gender equity in their organizations, and advocate for their women colleagues to be treated as equals?

The panel illuminated the nuts and bolts of these issues, followed by a series of focus groups. Other panelists included Alan Bryan (Walmart), Julia Simon (Mary Kay), and Lysha Weston (AT&T).
