Britta Stanton Presents at Advanced Oil, Gas, and Energy Resources Law Course

LPHS partner Britta Stanton was a featured speaker at the 41st Annual Advanced Oil, Gas, and Energy Resources Law Course in Houston, a continuing education offering of the State Bar of Texas. Her presentation covered the status of litigation and related legal issues in the wake of 2021’s Winter Storm Uri. That storm led to electricity provider bankruptcies and thousands of consumer claims involving corporate fraud, property damage, personal injuries, and wrongful deaths, prompting legislative actions to reform the state’s electricity market.

The Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section is the oldest section of the State Bar of Texas and is one of the largest and most active, with more than 4,500 members.
