LPHS Collaborating to Fight Hunger with “Food from the Bar"

Beginning April 1, LPHS is uniting with others in the North Texas legal community to fight summer hunger for children losing access to school meals. The annual “Food from the Bar” initiative of the North Texas Food Bank raises funds, collects food, and provides volunteer hours, with a heavy emphasis on monetary donations.

“The legal community is making a life-changing difference for families across North Texas,” said Johnny Jenkins of the NTFB. “Because of the meals they enabled, children will be able to enjoy their summer and return to school nourished and ready to learn.”

Last year the month-long campaign raised the equivalent of 445,460 meals, more than $145,000 in funds, and 940 pounds of food.

To join in this effort, you’re encouraged to go here to make a donation or learn more, and join LPHS in supporting this important effort.
