For decades the Dallas community has been blessed with remarkable and trailblazing women in the legal profession. In celebrating that legacy, LPHS was pleased to serve as a sponsor for the premiere of the feature-length documentary  “A Law Unto Themselves: How Women Lawyers of Dallas Transformed Law and Community – Together.”

A project of the Dallas Women Lawyers Foundation and the J.L. Turner Legal Association, the film features prominent women lawyers discussing their individual and collective experiences fighting for equality and pioneering many “firsts” in the courts and at their law firms. These interviews remind audiences of an often forgotten legacy, and that the fight for equality under the law is far from finished.
