LPHS Awards Scholarships to Dallas ISD Students

Two students from the Dallas ISD’s Judge Barefoot Sanders Law Magnet have received scholarships from the firm to further their college education. The recipients are Nina Maldonado and Marco Hernandez, who received the honor from the firm’s Alan Dabdoub at a special awards ceremony prior to graduation. This marks the 13th year that LPHS has awarded the scholarships.

To qualify for the honor students must plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university for the upcoming academic year, have a minimum grade point average of 3.3, and demonstrate outstanding leadership potential and an intent to pursue a career in the legal field.

The Law Magnet is a college preparatory high school with an emphasis on critical reading, writing and thinking within the framework of the study of law. Law Magnet graduates have a strong track record of being accepted to Tier-1 college and universities across the nation and has the highest college graduation rate of any school in Dallas ISD.
