Hon. Barbara M. G. Lynn (ret.) Named to Lawdragon Leading Lawyers Hall of Fame
LPHS partner Hon. Barbara M. G. Lynn (ret.) has been inducted into the Lawdragon Hall of Fame class of 2026. She joined the firm in September 2025 after more than 25 years of service on the federal bench. During her tenure she served as both Chief Judge and Senior Judge for U.S. Courts for the Northern District of Texas and presided over some of the most controversial and important trials in the region, with written opinions that have shaped national precedent.
Since 2015, Lawdragon has honored leading lawyers who have “dedicated their careers to the legal profession, each in his or her own way, to find a way forward to a better future.” Judge Lynn is among 102 Hall of Fame attorneys honored nationwide this year, and one of only 25 in Texas. Her husband and firm founder Mike Lynn was named to the Hall of Fame in 2025.
Judge Lynn has long been a leader in the legal community, serving as Chair of both the ABA Section of Litigation and the ABA Judicial Division, and as President of the American Inns of Court Foundation. In March she will receive the Charles O. Galvin Award for Extraordinary Service as part of the SMU Dedman School of Law’s 2026 Distinguished Alumni Award ceremony.
