Donation Honoring Michael K. Hurst Made to DBA Program to Support Pro Bono Legal Services

The decades of public and professional service by the firm’s Michael K. Hurst has led to a donation of $30,000 in his honor to this year’s Equal Access to Justice Campaign, supporting the work of the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program of the Dallas Bar Association. Attorney Jim Mueller and the Mueller Family Law Group made the donation, in recognition of  Michael's career-long commitment to supporting pro bono legal services.

“For my entire career, I have been emphatic that legal aid ensures that everyone has access to our courts and our superior system of justice,” says Michael, a former DBA president.  “I appreciate Mr. Mueller acknowledging that legal aid is that important pillar of justice, and for making this generous contribution in my honor.”

“As Chair-Elect of the Texas Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, I am well aware of the need for lower-income and indigent clients to have representation,” says Mr. Mueller. “I have been fortunate in my career to give back, and I hope that this donation honoring Michael’s work will help touch thousands of lives.”
