An Unstoppable Combination: Lynn Pinker & Cox becomes Lynn Pinker Cox & Hurst

With the addition of partner Michael K. Hurst, Dallas-based civil litigation boutique, Lynn Pinker & Cox, is now Lynn Pinker Cox & Hurst. The firm also welcomes A. Shonn Brown and Jonathan Childers as partners, John Guild as senior counsel, and Joshua Sandler, Michael Kalis and Christina Mullen as associates.

“By adding Michael, Shonn, Jonathan and their team to the already considerable talent here, we truly have the finest and most experienced stable of young trial talent in the city and perhaps even the state. We are ready to take on the world,” said Lynn.

Michael Hurst is a widely recognized trial lawyer in Texas, particularly in complex commercial, energy, intellectual property and employment litigation. Coming from Gruber Hurst Elrod Johansen Hail Shank LLP, he has litigated and tried many high-profile lawsuits for the most respected corporate and individual clients, including winning six jury verdicts over $1 million and two over $10 million, as well as numerous defense verdicts. He has been recognized as one of the top 100 lawyers in Texas nine out of the last 10 years and Best Lawyer in commercial litigation by D Magazine, and currently serves as first vice president of the Dallas Bar Association.

Michael's accomplishments build on the firm's many successes, which include consistent recognition as a top-tier firm in Chambers and Partners and a recent $535 million judgment – the largest verdict in Texas and one of the Top 10 Jury Verdicts in the U.S.

“We are pleased to join forces with Mike, Eric and Trey,” said Hurst. “Our first 20 years apart were pretty amazing on their own. This combination is going to be unstoppable. I look forward to reaching even greater heights together in the next 20 years and beyond.”

The newly renamed firm will continue its primary focus on business and commercial litigation. Lynn Pinker Cox & Hurst is known for handling some of the biggest business litigation cases in Texas, and will continue to represent companies and individuals who need the best in an aggressive, creative and effective manner.
