Trey Cox and Jason Dennis Host Launch Party for Book on Recovering Attorneys’ Fees

Attorneys and attorneys' fee experts Trey Cox and Jason Dennis are celebrating the updated release of their book, "How to Recover Attorneys' Fees in Texas,” at a launch party September 5 from 5-6:30 pm at Saint Ann Restaurant & Bar in Dallas.

This second and expanded version of the book contains interviews with judges and a complete transcript involving a trial on attorneys' fees. The book is targeted to Texas litigators, but is insightful for anyone interested in the complex process of determining attorneys' fees.

Mindful of the change in the attorneys' fees landscape, Cox and Dennis provide a complete, step-by-step guide for practicing attorneys to help them win and defeat attorneys' fees claims at trial.

"There are more than 225 separate statutory provisions allowing attorneys' fees under the laws of Texas alone,” Dennis said. "Our book is a resource for understanding how to work within these provisions.”

Today, the ability to recover attorneys' fee may be the deciding factor in whether or not to file a lawsuit and almost always plays a critical role in the decision to settle or try a case. Recovering attorneys' fees can no longer be an afterthought for trial lawyers and their clients.

"In the modern litigation world, attorney's fees are an essential element of consideration – they can make or break the success of a case," Cox said.
