Experience
Mark devotes his practice to intellectual property litigation, focusing on patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret matters. Mark has successfully assisted the firm's clients in obtaining favorable outcomes in matters relating to a variety of technologies including telecommunications switching systems, secure online-payment systems, quality assurance software packages, nutritional supplements, and consumer products. Before attending law school, Mark was a professional engineer for General Dynamics Fort Worth Division where he worked on the F-111 and F-16 fighter planes.

Mannatech, Inc. v. Techmedica Health, Inc., 3:06-CV-0813 (N.D. Tex). Plaintiff’s counsel in a case alleging infringement of five patents for dietary supplement compositions comprised of plant carbohydrates. See Mannatech, Inc. v. Techmedica Health, Inc., 2009 WL 3614359 (N.D. Tex., 2009)
Mannatech, Inc. v. Glycobiotics International, Inc., 3:06-CV-0471 (N.D. Tex). Plaintiff's counsel in a patent infringement and false advertising action against a competitor to protect the company's patented dietary supplement formulations. See Mannatech, Inc. v. Glycobiotics Intern., Inc. 513 F.Supp.2d 754 (N.D.Tex. 2007).
Starpay.com et al v. Visa International Service Association and Visa USA, Inc., 3:03-CV-976 (N.D. Tex). Defendant's counsel in a patent infringement and trade secret case involving the Verified-by-Visa secure online-payment system. See Starpay.com, L.L.C. v. Visa Intern. Service Ass'n, 514 F.Supp.2d 883 (N.D.Tex. 2007).

Alcatel USA v. Samsung Electronics, Inc., 96-08262-L (193rd District Court). Plaintiff's counsel in lawsuit against a large multinational corporation for misappropriation of trade secrets relating to the design of Alcatel's next generation telecommunications switching system.
Alphamed, Inc. v. Basic Research LLC. 2:03-CV-0947 (D. Utah) Plaintiff's counsel in a lawsuit to recover damages for breach of a royalty agreement and misappropriation of trade secrets.
Trademarks:
Great American Restaurant Co. v. Domino's Pizza LLC, No. 08-40654 (USCA 5th Cir.). Represented the appellant in the appeal of a summary judgment on appellant’s claims for trademark infringement and unfair competition. See Great American Restaurant Co. v. Domino's Pizza LLC, 2009 WL 3150310 (5th Cir.)
