Michael Thomas graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2006, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English. In 2010, Michael earned a J.D., magna cum laude, from SMU Dedman School of Law. Upon graduation, he was admitted to the Order of the Coif. While attending law school, Michael was an executive member of the SMU Board of Advocates, a Senior Staff Editor on the SMU Law Review, a teaching assistant for criminal law classes, and he worked in the Consumer Advocacy Clinic at SMU which represents Spanish-speaking individuals in civil disputes. Michael was also a master advocate and competed on several SMU Mock Trial Teams. He received numerous regional and national accolades while competing on the SMU Mock Trial Team, including being inducted into the Order of the Barristers.
Before accepting an associate position at Lynn Tillotson Pinker & Cox, LLP, Michael worked at the Texas Attorney General’s office, where he assisted the Attorney General with protecting consumer rights.
Michael is happily married to Jacque Thomas who is an elementary school teacher here in Dallas. Michael is licensed to practice law in Texas and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Nothern District of Texas. |
