Angela V. Colmenero earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame Law School where she served as Executive Editor of the Journal of College and University Law and as a member of the Notre Dame Academic Council. Before attending law school, Ms Colmenero worked as a policy analyst for the Mexican American Legislative Caucus during the 77th Texas Legislative Session. Ms. Colmenero graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Government. Before joining the firm, Ms. Colmenero practiced in the trial practice group in the Dallas office of Jones Day. Ms. Colmenero also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Chief Judge A. Joe Fish of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Ms. Colmenero is licensed in Texas and Illinois, and is admitted to practice before the Northern District of Texas and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is fluent in Spanish.
Ms. Colmenero is the Young Lawyers Division Chair of the Dallas Federal Bar Association, a member of the Steering Committee of the Dallas Lawyers Chapter of the American Constitution Society, and an associate in the Patrick E. Higginbotham American Inn of Court.
